The french manufacturer did it again. This time, they didn’t succeed with one of their funky and colorful designs, but with an elegant an classic yellow gold wristwatch.
The case takes half of the limelight: beautifully shaped lugs, that in my opinion haven’t been polished before, really help this dress watch stand out against its competitors. You can’t go unnoticed wearing this. The other half of the limeligth is taken by the dial. Matte black with ‘gilt’ lettering, showing: ‘LIP CHRONOMÈTRE’ at 12, and ‘swiss’ below the 6 hour index.
Inside, the watch packs the legendary caliber R25, designed by the manufacturer. But this is no standard R25, it is an improved version, making it run at COSC standards. We would date the watch to the late 1950’s or early 60s.
