The stainless-steel case is in very good condition, unpolished to our eyes. The dial is in mint condition as well, having the tritium turned into a very attractive cream color. The crystal has some superficial scratches only noticeable under direct sunlight. The movement is in very good condition and runs extremely fine.

Croton, which initially was found in 1878 by Jacob Horton in New York, has a direct relationship with Nivada (and thus we can see the same models branded by either firm).

The Chronomaster model was introduced in the early 1960s specially for the U.S. market. Their target customers where engineers, airline pilots, race car drivers, skin divers, scientists… That is why, for the time, this watches were produced in rather large cases, 38mm, for a better visibility.

There are several variations of the Chronomaster line. Different movements, hands, dial layouts. However, this reference 105/9855 is, in our opinion, one of the most attractive configurations. The big arrow hands with the creamy lume and matte dark grey dial, with a column-wheel Valjoux 92 inside, really makes this watch special.
