The dial is in good condition but signs of corrosion can be seen on the outer track, specially from 12 until 2. The arabic numerals still maintain the original radium lume that lightly glows under UV light, and so do the hands. The case is a two piece case without a removable bezel, which is just formed by the thicker upper part and the case back, which is screw down. Inside the case back, we can see the words “Brevet 217547” which indicates that the waterproofing technology this case features was patented. The crown winds smoothly the Landeron 48 movement inside. The movement is held onto the watch by an outer ring that was usually featured in military watches.

Baume & Mercier rarely produced watches like this: gilt and glossy chronographs with sturdy steel cases in 36mm. That is why it is hard to find another example of this beautiful chronograph.
